Scoliosis is characterized by an abnormal spinal curve. When a person with a normal spine is viewed from the front or back, the spine appears to be straight. When a person with scoliosis is viewed from the front or back, the spine appears to be curved. Conditions known to cause spinal curvature include congenital abnormalities, neurological disorders and genetic. Approximately 2% to 3% of Americans at age 16 have scoliosis and it is more common in females.
I am an adult scoliosis patient and I was in a lot of pain. I had consulted with three different doctors who all told me I was facing major surgery to relieve the pain. I had also developed drop foot, where the left side of my foot would just flop along. Someone suggested I try NUCCA….All of my pain is gone, my drop foot is gone, and I am pain free and I intend to keep doing this [treatments] for the rest of my life if need be instead of having any type of surgery.
